Sophie Dale Juhlin (she/her) is a writer, editor, and visual artist from the Chicago area. She is a graduate of the Shimer Great Books School and is a candidate for a Master’s in Writing at North Central College. She is the Founder and Co-Director of Atrocious Poets, through which she has instigated writing workshops, performance art, collaborative installations, zines, and nearly a decade of poetry mischief in her community.

Both her written work and her visual art pieces are informed by climate grief, our built world’s effect on human experience, and a deep hate-love of cars. Her current work involves live poetry experiments with neighborhood traffic. In case she suddenly stops responding to emails, that might be why. She works in publishing and lives with her partner in the west Chicago suburbs, where she collects records and dreams of adopting a dog.
